Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FamSync, a family calendar coordination service operated by Huo Life ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using FamSync — including our web app at famsync.huo.life, iOS app, and Android app — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1The Service

FamSync connects your Google or Microsoft calendar account, merges schedules with your family members, detects scheduling conflicts, and delivers a weekly email digest. We provide the Service "as is" and may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.

2Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use FamSync. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's permission.

3Your Account

You sign in via Google or Microsoft OAuth — we do not store passwords. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at famsync@huo.life if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not share your account credentials, create accounts on behalf of others without authorization, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

4Calendar Data & Permissions

By connecting your calendar, you grant FamSync permission to read your event titles and time ranges for the purpose of family schedule coordination. We do not read event descriptions, locations, attendees, or attachments. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

You may revoke calendar access at any time from your Google or Microsoft account settings, or from FamSync Settings → Disconnect Calendar.

5Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users

6Subscription & Billing

FamSync offers a free trial and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed per family (not per individual) on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — we do not offer prorated refunds except where required by law.

7Intellectual Property

FamSync and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Huo Life and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your calendar data — we claim no ownership over your personal information or calendar events.

8Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

9Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HUO LIFE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

10Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to FamSync at any time for violations of these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Upon termination, your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

11Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of North Carolina.

12Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
